Paper Street Films is a New York-based film production and finance company managed by Austin Stark, Benji Kohn, Chris Papavasiliou and Bingo Gubelmann.

Currently, Paper Street is producing REFUGE, directed by Jessica Goldberg, starring Krysten Ritter, Bryan Geraghty, Madeleine Martin and Logan Huffman. The film is in production and will be released in 2012.

Recently, Paper Street produced Josh Radnor’s HAPPYTHANKYOUMOREPLEASE, starring Radnor, Malin Akerman, Kate Mara, Zoe Kazan and Richard Jenkins. The film won the Audience Award at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, and was released theatrically by Anchor Bay Films in March 2011.

In 2009, Paper Street produced Alex Cox’s REPO CHICK and Werner Herzog’s MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YE DONE?, executive produced by David Lynch, starring Academy Award nominees Michael Shannon, Willem Dafoe and Chloe Sevigny. Both films premiered at the 2009 Venice Film Festival. MY SON, MY SON was released theatrically by Lynch’s distribution entity, Absurda, and is currently available on DVD through Millennium. REPO CHICK was released by Industrial Entertainment in February 2011.

In 2008, Paper Street produced the love story, PETER AND VANDY, written and directed by Jay DiPietro, starring Jason Ritter, Jess Weixler and Jesse L. Martin. The film premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize, as well as Best Screenplay and Best Editing at the Milan International Film Festival. It was released theatrically by Strand Releasing and is available on DVD. In 2008, Paper Street also produced teen thriller, HOMECOMING, directed by Sundance-winner Morgan J. Freeman (HURRICANE), starring Mischa Barton, Jessica Stroup and Matt Long. It was released by Paramount Pictures and is available on DVD.

In 2007, Paper Street executive produced the animated film, MY BIODEGRADABLE HEART, directed by Dana Adam Shapiro (MURDERBALL), which premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and screened at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, among others.
